In light of the on-going health emergency, attendance at Christmas Masses at Our Lady of Good Counsel will be restricted this year.
Out of an abundance of caution, participation will be limited to sixty (60)persons per Mass. This number is below what is permitted by State guidelines. Nonetheless, we've opted for a lower number of participants with a view to the safety and peace of mind of those attending.
Tickets for admission to the Christmas Masses will take place after Masses this weekend of December 12-13 and next week from the rectory office during office hours. The tickets will be distributed on a first-come-first served basis. The tickets will distributed for a specific Mass and cannot be used at any other Mass. The tickets will be collected upon entry to the church on Christmas Eve and Day.
The schedule of liturgies is as follows:
December 24th, Christmas Eve:
3:00 pm (All 60 available tickets have been distributed)
6:00 pm (All 60 available tickets have been distributed)
December 25th, Christmas Day:
8:30 am
10:30 am
Those attending Mass must wear a mask or face-covering at all times during the liturgy, sanitize their hands upon entering the church and practice social distancing (6 feet apart) with all persons not of their household. Please also be aware that some windows in the church will be open during the Mass to assure adequate ventilation throughout the church interior. Moreover, there will be no congregational singing. Only the cantor located in the choir loft will be permitted to sing.
As we proceed with this plan, please be mindful that our health emergency situation remains quite fluid. All our protocols are subject to change if State health directives are updated within the coming weeks. We will keep everyone updated if a change does occur.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these extraordinary times.
