The Corporal Work of Mercy to bury the dead provides an opportunity to show support and comfort to our fellow parishioners by hosting a luncheon following a funeral.

Funeral luncheons will be offered in our parish hall through the services of a caterer and served by our newly formed Mary & Martha Ministry. Beverages and desserts, as well as set-up/clean-up are also provided by this ministry.

This ministry has 2 volunteer components: Dessert Bakers and Luncheon Servers who will set-up and clean-up. Volunteers are most welcome to participate in either or both components. Bakers and Servers will be contacted prior to the funeral to check for availability. Desserts will need to be delivered to the parish hall prior to the funeral. The time commitment for Servers is roughly 2 ½ to 3 hours.
