Lectors proclaim the scriptures during the celebration of Mass and at other liturgies. Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priests and deacon in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Some also bring Holy Communion to the homebound and to the sick.

Father Labaire will provide preparation for these two ministries during the fall. Those parishioners considering these ministries must be regular participants in worship and strive to faithfully live the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives.

“Perfection” is never a pre-requisite for these any ministry, however. We are all imperfect human beings sustained by the grace of our loving God.
