Those struggling with serious illness, physical injury, or chronic pain are the object of the Christian community’s concern and pastoral care. Through the Sacrament of Anointing, Christ touches our lives, bringing gifts of forgiveness, strength, and hope.
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will be offered during the 9:00 am Mass on Tuesday, February 28. Those with difficulty walking are asked to be seated in the very front row of pews on the left and right sides of the center aisle, so that the priest may approach you for the anointing during the Mass. Everyone else will approach the priest by walking down the center aisle as we do during Holy Communion.
Everyone is invited to join with us at this Mass, even if you do not wish to receive the Sacrament of the Sick. During this Mass we pray for strength and healing of all kinds physical, emotional, and spiritual, in our lives, our relationships, and in our world.
