We congratulate Scott Camilleri as he assumes his ministry in our parish community.

Please keep Scott, his wife Tracey, and his entire family in your prayers. Scott was assigned to our parish a year ago as deacon-intern. He has faithfully served our community during a most extraordinary time. We are pleased to announce that Scott will continue to serve our parish, along with Deacon Mick Beck, following his ordination.

Deacons, like priests and bishops, receive the Sacrament of Holy Orders. They are called to a specific ministry of service to the church. Deacons baptize, officiate at marriages, assist at the burial of the dead, and minister at the altar at Mass. They proclaim the gospel during liturgical services and occasiionally preach. Deacons have a special ministry to the poor and needy.

Scott will serve as deacon and preach the homily at all Masses on the weekend of June 12 -13th.
