As we begin 2023, we are grateful for the work that has been accomplished during 2022. The sale of the Church Street property,
the replacement of the church exterior front steps and walkway, along with the painting of the church interior were among the most important endeavors infrastructure issues addressed over the past year.
As we look forward, here are some ongoing projects for 2023:
Exterior north Side church steps: The steps are presently in a terrible state of deterioration. Work on new steps is scheduled to begin in the early spring. The cost of this project will be $37,000. We will keep everyone updated regarding a starting date.
Interior Church painting: Jan 15th update: Due to a personnel shortage (the painting team was one painter short) some of the detail work on the ceiling remains unfinished. We anticipate completion within the next couple of weeks.
Rectory Replacement Windows: A number of the replacement windows which were installed about 40 years ago are broken. Conse-
quently, we are losing heat and money. Any parishioner who would like to take a look at the sorry state of the windows is most welcome to do so. We are currently reviewing estimates for the work which will need to be undertaken in phases. We’ll address the most
deteriorated windows first. Updates will be forthcoming.
We extend our thanks to all our parishioners who in various ways assisted in helping us achieve our goals for 2022 and continue to help us continue our work through 2023.
